safety and communication electrician

Who are they and what do they do? The safety and communications electrician produces, assembles, puts into operation and repairs, safety, communication, measurement, signalling and radio appliances at railway stations and on railways.

What are the activities of the job? Produces, assembles, installs and repairs the appliances. S/he is also in charge of maintenance and all repairs of the appliances. S/he works mainly with electronic components and circuits, measuring different electrical and non-electrical variables.

Where is it done and under what conditions? In stations and depots where noise, dust and dirt must be expected.

What tools/equipment do they use? Mainly hand tools of the trade and measurement technology.

What do you need to succeed? You need initial training, manual skills and a feeling for technology.
