Keeping accounting records and accounting ledgers (petty cash ledger and main accounting ledger), making accounting entries in accounting books, keeping records of assets - drafting accounting documents - drawing up final accounts - keeping track of data about the assets and financial situation of the organisation - filling out income tax reports (calculating revenue and expenses, and the income tax due) - calculating disposable profit and transferring it to an account for further distribution - keeping tax documents for the administration of value added tax or for other taxes, levies, benefits, etc.
Where is it done and under what conditions? In an office or similar space, where the work environment presents few problems.
What tools/equipment do they use? Computer technology, using specialised programs for accounting, normal office equipment, writing supplies, and the spoken word.
What do you need to succeed? You need to have completed a secondary education programme, preferably in economics or business studies, as well as a training course in single and double-entry accounting (this must be continuously updated, and based on the latest regulations and laws that apply), precision, ability to learn, concentration, patience, reliability.
