Where is it done and under what conditions? This profession is carried out in printing works, where noise, dirt, chemicals, and shift-work are all likely.
What tools/equipment do they use? Printing presses (manual or automatic, off-set, rotary, gravure printing, silk-screen printing and others), current tools for their maintenance and if necessary simple repair work, measurement instruments and their own hands.
What do you need to succeed? You need vocational training, manual dexterity, a feeling for technical problems, rapid responses, cleanliness, good eyesight and colour vision.
