Who are they and what do they do? The crop treatment operative does various special jobs relating to post-harvest treatment of grain, seeds and other agricultural plant products.

What are the activities of the job? Drying, cleaning, sorting, pickling, and various other treatment methods, etc.; mixing and treatment of fertilisers, and maintenance of the machinery and equipment used.

Where is it done and under what conditions? At various agricultural facilities (silos, cleaning stations, fertiliser storage facilities, etc.) with exposure to dirt, dust and sometimes to chemicals.

What tools/equipment do they use? Various types of machinery and equipment, and automatic production lines.

What do you need to succeed? You need to have completed the relevant vocational training course, and have the ability to respond quickly to situations.
