Who are they and what do they do? The construction carpenter/joiner makes the wooden framework and other wooden parts of buildings.
What are the activities of the job? Fitting windows and doors into their wooden jambs, making wooden stair cases and railings, fitting shelves or cabinets into recesses etc.
Where is it done and under what conditions? On construction sites or inside already occupied houses or in workshops. The environment may be dusty and dirty, and you may sometimes have to work at a height and in variable weather conditions.
What tools/equipment do they use? Craft hand tools, including saws, hammers, planes, chisels, screwdrivers, screws, and hand power tools.
