Who are they and what do they do? The producer ensures and coordinates the financial, sales and operational aspects of the production of films and television, theatre, music and dance programs and performances.
What are the activities of the job? The producer assesses the film, program and performance topics from the financial point of view, compiles the necessary budget, deals with sponsors in order to raise financial support, recruits creative and technical teams for this film or program, develops and monitors shooting plans, mainly with regard to the effective use of materials, technical equipment, funds and staff, and ensures that the financial limits are not exceeded. The producer may also sometimes direct the play or film themselves as well.
