Who are they and what do they do? The fire officer coordinates fire service activity at different administrative levels (national, regional, municipal, etc.).
What are the activities of the job? He/she develops fire prevention policy and methodology, oversees training of fire fighters, commanders, technicians, etc. He/she manages the activities of fire brigades in situations requiring contingency measures (e.g. floods, major public demonstrations etc.) and coordinates them with police squads and other participants. He/she provides professional advice on fire prevention and safety.
Where is it done and under what conditions? Mostly in normal offices.

What do you need to succeed? You need university education, organisational abilities, ability to work methodically and some ability to think creatively.
