Who are they and what do they do? The orthotic/prosthetic technician makes prostheses (for amputees0 and orthoses (to correct deformities and aid movement - e.g. of the spine) and other similar aids and appliances. Other job titles may include orthopedic technician.
What are the activities of the job? Appliances are made from wood, metals, plastic material, leather and natural materials using machining, milling, grinding, welding, assembly and other techniques.
