Who are they and what do they do? A forestry worker carries out the more practical and basic activities in forestry.

What are the activities of the job? Loading, unloading and spreading the soil, compost, or fertilisers, watering the trees in the nurseries, collecting seeds and fruits of forest plants, loosening the soil, planting tree seedlings, spraying the plants with various agents to protect them against pests etc.

Where is it done and under what conditions? In the open air, where varying weather conditions must be expected.

What tools/equipment do they use? Various kinds of forest machinery, chain saws, irrigation systems, sowing devices, as well as various hand tools and other aids.

What do you need to succeed? You need training on the job and a positive attitude to wildlife and nature.
