keeper of service animals:

Who are they and what do they do? A keeper of service animals looks after animals kept for some kind of service such as dogs, horses or sometimes other kinds of work animals.

What are the activities of the job? Prepares and measures the feed for animals kept for work purposes, feeds the animals and cleans their housing facilities, monitors the health of the animals, takes care of them, or calls a vet if necessary. May take animals out for exercise daily.

Where is it done and under what conditions? In stalls, stables, kennels and other kinds of housing for service animals and in the open air while exercising the animals. Various kinds of dirt, unpleasant smells, varying weather conditions during exercise periods, contact with animal hair (which may cause allergies), must be expected.

What tools/equipment do they use? Tools and equipment for feeding and cleaning the animals.

What do you need to succeed? You need to complete an apprenticeship, and have a positive attitude to animals.
