Who are they and what do they do? The metallurgist of nonferrous metals prepares and processes raw materials and additives to produce nonferrous metals and alloys, such as copper, aluminium, brass, bronze, etc.

What are the activities of the job? S/he operates the process that produces these metals and their alloys, mixing the raw materials in correct quantities, and draws off liquid metal and slag.

Where is it done and under what conditions? In heavy metallurgical plants, where dirt, noise, chemical substances and high temperatures must be expected.

What tools/equipment do they use? Smelting furnaces, crushing mills, sorting machines, conveyers, and other machines and equipment.

What do you need to succeed? You need to have completed initial training, be self-disciplined and have fast reactions.
