Who are they and what do they do? The station manager organises activities throughout the railway station.

What are the activities of the job? Coordinates the activities of all sections, organises work-shifts for all occupations, manages train crews, is in contact with the station managers of other railway stations, solves problems as they arise, makes decisions whenever smooth operations or safety are endangered.

Where is it done and under what conditions? The job is carried out on the premises of a railway station, a noisy environment is to be expected.

What tools/equipment do they use? Computers and office equipment.

What do you need to succeed? You need to have completed high school or university education, have systematic working habits, have the ability to organise and exercise authority, as well as being numerate and computer literate.
