Who are they and what do they do? The broadcaster introduces programs and films broadcast on television or radio stations, responds to changes in the televised programme and to unexpected non-standard situations.

What are the activities of the job? The work of a radio broadcaster may be more varied than on television. Radio broadcasters run the whole of the programme being broadcast by the respective radio station, interview guests, make surveys among the listeners, talk to them on the telephone and ask the questions in radio quizzes and competitions. Often, he/she selects music to be broadcast. He/she prepares what they have to say, paying attention to the use of correct language and cultivated diction. Sometimes he/she moderates a programme together with a partner with whom they must get on well and work together. A broadcaster may also work with a producer and a number of other team members to produce and deliver the programme.

Where is it done and under what conditions? In recording studios. Work outside regular working hours must be expected.

What tools/equipment do they use? Broadcasting and recording equipment and studios, including microphones, telephones, and other communications tools.

What do you need to succeed? You need to have completed secondary, higher or university education, be able to concentrate, able to react quickly to situations, and have a cultivated appearance and manner.
